Re: Republican Vote Tally on Sotomayor [Ed Whelan]
An update to this post: With recent statements by Senators Chambliss, Corker, and Isakson, I now count 26 Republican votes against Sotomayor. Meanwhile, Senator Alexander has become the sixth Republican to declare in favor of Sotomayor. That leaves eight Republicans still to be heard from: Barrasso, Bond, Ensign, Enzi, Gregg, McCain, Murkowski, and Voinovich.
Also still to be seen is whether any Democrats will vote against Sotomayor.
